Wolverine trailer finally makes cut

MOVIE NEWS
The trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine has finally hit the net after appearing before The Day the Earth Stood Still in cinemas.
And while I'm still not totally convinced about the actual title - just Wolverine might have been suffice - the movie looks pretty good.
Obviously it will take in the complete 'birth' of the character from the time he was James Howlett, a simple soldier with a sideburn fetish, to anti-hero Wolverine, a mutant with hygene problems. Does he ever wash those claws of his.
With his special healing ability, Howlett aka Logan takes part in a super secret, super soldier program called Weapon X which sees his skeleton bonded with a near indestructible metal alloy adamantium.
Of course he doesn't take too kindly to some of the treatment dished out too him - you know, the 'I-didn't-sign-up-for-that' sort of thing, like when the military has him opening envelopes all day long - so goes on the warpath.
The movie has reasonable cast, with Danny Huston (who I liked in The Proposition and 30 Days of Night) playing a younger William Stryker the mutant hunter. That character, you may remember, featured in the brilliant X-Men II with Brian Cox in the role.
There's also Liev Schrieber as Wolverine's arch nemesis Victor Creed aka Sabretooth, Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson aka Deadpool, Dominic Monaghan as Barnell Bohusk aka Beak, Taylor Kitsch as Remy LeBeau aka Gambit and Kevin Durand as Frederick J. Dukes aka The Blob.
The film wil be released next May, but now you can check out the trailer ...

He didn't look too cool though. Gambit was always the laid back southern dude. I guess we'll see...
