Ghostbusters to go superbad?

MOVIE NEWS
NEED a new Ghostbusters movie?
Who you gonna call?
Team Apatow!
Sorry, couldn't resist...
So, it looks as though another blast from '80s is about to make a return to the big screen.
A third Ghostbusters movie is on the cards, hot on the heels of follow-ups to Indiana Jones, Rocky, Rambo and Die Hard, among others.
It's been reported The Office (the US version) executive producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky are set to write the script.
Original Ghostbuster Dan Aykroyd however is believed to be keen to get Hollywood golden boys writer/director/producer Judd Apatow and actor/writer Seth Rogan involved somehow. That pair, of course, was behind Superbad, Knocked Up and Pineapple Express.
"If I could get Seth and Judd to be a part of it, that would be a dream. Absolutely," Aykroyd told E! Online.
I believe the idea is to have the old 'busters (Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson), all now into their late 50s to early 60s, hand over the keys to the Ecto-1 to a new band of 'busters.
It could work. I for one, would love to see McLovin, Christopher Mintz-Plasse from the hilarious Superbad, playing the son of Rick Moranis' bumbling character Louis Tully. It's perfect. Rogan would be great in a Peter Venkman (Murray) kind of role.
Of course, a few years back, there was talk of a script written by Aykroyd himself floating around called Ghostbusters In Hell, which, going by the title, actually sounded pretty cool.
Ben Stiller was going to be recruited to lead the team in the Naughties.
With CGI these days, Ghostbusters 3 could have a lot going for it.
Then again, without a decent script, it could end up being as lame as hell.
