YOU wouldn't have pegged everyone's favourite Desperate Housewife Eva Longoria Parker as a comic book fan.

So why else would she be seen over the weekend leaving the offices of comic book giant Marvel with a stack of their publications in her hand?

Yep, that's right people, looks as though Longoria Parker, who plays the fiesty Gabrielle in DH, could be donning the lycra for the big-screen.

The Los Angeles Times has reported that she may be in the running to star in the upcoming Avengers movie.

The planned blockbuster will see the likes of Marvel supeheroes Ironman, Hulk, Thor and Captain America team-up. The movie is scheduled for a 2011 release.

The LA Times has speculated that Longoria Parker may in fact be up for the role of The Wasp, a lesser-known superhero but one who could play an important part in the new film.

No doubt Marvel will want to balance out the line-up with a couple of female hotties.
Janet Van Dyne, aka The Wasp, fits the bill.




As well as an ability to alter her physical size, the character has amazing fashion sense and can create a walk-in-robe size collection of her very own superhero outfits! Wow! Her favourite weapon is her make-up mirror.

An idea to have The Wasp, who ends up marrying fellow Avenger Ant-Man, have an affair with Ironman and possibly the Hulk is just rumour at this stage.
